Bodegas Comenge was founded in 1999 by Jaime Comenge, and is located in Curiel de Duero (Valladolid). It was named in honour of D. Miguel Comenge Gerpe, writer of the book 'La Vid y los vinos españoles'(a reference work for every vine scholar) and the founder’s father.
It belongs to the owners of Bodegas Fernández de Piérola whose wine-producing experience in the Rioja Alavesa provides support. They erected a building in Valcavado de Roa that is Eco-efficient and completely Environment-friendly. 100 % of its heating needs are covered thanks to Geothermal Energy.
