Don Luis Alonso (aka 'Chuleta') created this restaurant in 1965. Today it is run by his son, Don Joaquín Alonso, offering excellence in traditional Castilian cuisine: Lechazo Asado (roast suckling lamb cooked in a wood-burning oven), grilled lamb chops and meat on the barbeque.
You can also enjoy fresh asparagus, peppered wild mushrooms, seafood and fish such as sea bream.
In the underground wine cellar, they conduct wine tastings. The terrace offers fabulous views of the River Duero (hence the restaurant’s name). It also has three large rooms which have a capacity to seat 400 and a bar serving tapas and local dishes.
There is a daily set menu and an à la carte menu from between 30€ and 40€.
